Transitional Housing

Sponsored Transitional Housing Through JREC

Byrd’s Nest is proud to partner with the Jacksonville Reentry Center (JREC) to help women successfully transition back into the community.

Through this partnership, eligible women may receive sponsored transitional housing, giving them a safe and structured place to land while they begin rebuilding their lives.

Who May Qualify?

Women released from jail

Women who have been released from jail within the past 365 days may qualify for up to 30 days of sponsored housing.

Women released from prison

Women who have been released from prison in the last 365 days may qualify for up to 90 days of sponsored housing.

Eligibility and funding are subject to JREC requirements and approval.

At Byrd’s Nest, we believe that having a safe place to land can make all the difference. Our goal is to use this opportunity to help women establish stability, pursue employment, develop life skills, connect with community resources, and take the next steps toward independent living.

A safe place to land. A chance to rebuild. An opportunity to spread your wings
